Drop out rates, student mobility/transfers and educational attainment are key indicators related to a young person's future. Income, stability and professional opportunities are directly linked to a person's educational achievement.

Why are education indicators important ?
Not graduating from high school is associated with many future problems for young adults. Students who drop out of school are three times as likely to slip into poverty in adulthood as are those who finish high school, and job prospects are minimal for young and unskilled workers.
